Which columns Anchor recognises, what it checks, and how to fix a file that will not import.
Outcome: Your products in Anchor with correct prices and stock.
Recognised columns
Headings are matched by common names, ignoring case and spacing. A name and a price are required; everything else is optional.
- name: name, product name, title, product
- price: price, unit price, sale price
- sku: sku, code, product code
- stock: stock, stock quantity, quantity, qty, inventory, in stock
- description: description, desc, details
- category: category, categories, type
- active: active, is_active, status (true/false, yes/no, active/inactive)
Steps
- Download the template (linked below) or use your own file with a header row.
- Upload it from Products. Anchor reports how many rows imported and lists rows it could not read.
- Fix the listed rows in your file and import again, or correct individual products in the list.
Common problems
- A price with a currency symbol or text in it: use plain numbers.
- Duplicate SKUs in the file are flagged: keep one row per SKU.
- Stock must be a whole number.
- Very large files: split them and import in parts.
