Channel setup overview
What every channel needs before you start, and how to read its status.
Outcome: A clear view of which channels you can connect today and what each still needs.
Read the card first
Each channel in your dashboard shows three things: whether you have connected it, whether this Anchor server can run it yet, and a plain note on how far it has been tested. If the server cannot run a channel yet, connecting is switched off rather than letting you save a connection that could never receive messages.
What each provider requires
- Website: nothing external.
- Facebook Messenger: a Page ID and Page access token with pages_messaging from a Meta developer app; Meta app review before the public can message the Page.
- WhatsApp: a WhatsApp Business Cloud API number and token; Meta business verification and app review.
- Instagram: a professional account linked to a Page and a token; Meta app review for messaging.
- Telegram: a bot token from @BotFather; no review.
- Email: an address name; the server needs its mail domain and Resend configured.
After connecting
Send a test message from an account that has a role on your Meta app (or from your own Telegram account) and watch it arrive in Conversations. The connection card then shows the time of the last message received.
